About the Club

The Kasumba Young Farmers and Environmental Protection Club is a vibrant and inspiring student-led group at Kasumba Nursery and Primary School. Dedicated to empowering young pupils to take action in protecting and conserving the environment, the club engages in various ecological initiatives that nurture a sense of responsibility and care for the world around us. Through hands-on projects, educational programs, and community outreach, the club promotes sustainable practices and fosters environmental stewardship among our students and the wider community.

Objectives
  • Promote Environmental Awareness
    To educate pupils and the community on the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices through workshops, peer-to-peer education, and environmental campaigns.

  • Encourage Active Participation in Ecological Initiatives
    To involve pupils in practical activities such as tree planting, vegetable gardening, recycling projects, and waste management to instill hands-on experience in environmental protection.

  • Foster Recycling and Waste Management Practices
    To teach pupils creative ways to recycle plastic materials by turning them into planters for growing vegetables, thereby reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainable farming practices.

  • Advocate for the Protection of Wetlands and Ecosystems
    To raise awareness and discourage activities that lead to wetland degradation, protecting local ecosystems and promoting biodiversity conservation.
