Role purpose
You will teach Science and Mathematics in the lower section and raise learner outcomes through strong lesson delivery, practice, and follow-up.

Key duties

1. Plan weekly lessons and schemes of work aligned to the school program.
2. Teach Science and Mathematics using child-friendly methods and learning aids.
3. Set classwork, homework, tests, and term exams. Mark on time.
4. Keep learner records, assessment files, and progress reports.
5. Run remedial support for learners who need extra help.
6. Support practical activities, projects, and simple experiments.
7. Manage class routines, discipline, and learner welfare during learning time.
8. Communicate learner progress with parents during meetings and follow-ups.
9. Take part in staff meetings, workshops, and school activities.

Minimum requirements

1. Grade III Teachers Certificate or Diploma in Primary Education.
2. Teaching experience in lower primary is preferred.
3. Strong content knowledge in numeracy and primary Science.
4. Clear class management and strong lesson preparation skills.
5. Good spoken and written English.
6. Strong integrity and good conduct with children.
7. Willingness to undergo reference checks.

Added advantage

1. Track record of strong results in Mathematics.
2. ICT skills for lesson preparation and records.
3. Experience with learner support plans and remedial programs.
